Description of Practice

Attorney Lisa B. Forberg is TN Supreme Court Rule 31 listed mediator. She has represented hundreds of divorce clients and has seen firsthand the financial and emotional devastation caused by an adversarial divorce process. her law practice now is dedicated to Mediation and other out of court settlements, including Collaboration, to resolve disputes involving: alimony, child custody and parenting plans, child support payments, division of assets and retirement plans, business evaluations, division of debt, etc. Most cases involve multiple areas of dispute.

Professional Background

Lisa Forberg is on the Board of Directors of the Middle Tennessee Collaborative Alliance and serves as its Director of Public Education. She is the past-co-chair of the Collaborative Law Alliance (of New Hampshire). She has also been a speaker to groups of judges, clergy, therapists and business leaders on the topic of Collaborative Law. Lisa’s articles on Collaborative Practice have appeared in NH state legal publications as well as in a New England Regional legal practice book.

Lisa is a trained Rule 31 Mediator in the State of Tennessee, and has an extensive background in the use of mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution methods in Family Law and Divorce cases.


Attorney Lisa Forberg has incorporated Collaborative Law and Mediation into her Family Law practice since 2005, and has successful resolved many divorce cases out-of-court, that might otherwise have been litigated.
