Description of Practice

Collaborative Practice is one way to resolve divorce disputes without going to court. Each party has his or her own attorney to advise them throughout the process. The parties and attorneys work together to resolve disputes respectfully and with an honest exchange of information. By focusing on areas of agreement and proactively problem solving, the attorneys and parties are able to reach a settlement without the expense and stress of a court battle. Collaborative divorce may include other professionals such as coaches, financial specialists, or mental health experts.

I believe that the parties, not the judge, should decide what is in their best interest. In mediation, I help the parties resolve issues respectfully and without contention. I facilitate settlement discussions and help the parties create a lasting agreement that will work for everyone.
