Description of Practice

I mediate family disputes, pre-marital agreements, separation and divorce agreements as well as estate issues and parenting arrangements. I also have experience in mediation of small claims issues.
Professional Background
I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker with over 27 years of experience working with families and couples dealing with stress or conflicts. I hold two Masters degrees in this field. In addition, I am a trained Mediator in Massachusetts working both in the courts and in private practice. My fee is $ 275/hour. I do not require a retainer fee.
Experience
My experience as a therapist and Director of Social Work departments in both private practice and in hospitals provided me with extensive opportunities to facilitate disputes and develop conflict resolution techniques.
Over the last few years I have added Mediation to my practice focusing on working with couples and families who have a need to resolve conflicts or who are entering the beginning or ending of a relationship.
I have been a volunteer Mediator in Small Claims courts in Massachusetts for two years.
Degrees
I have an M.A. in Counseling/Psychology from Boston College received in 1985
I have an MSW in Social Work received from Boston College in 1991.

Approach
I believe in encouraging a dialog between the parties which allows everyone to feel respected and understood. I assist clients in exploring their options in developing a mutually satisfactory agreement. Furthermore, clients are advised to become educated about important issues which might become relevant to their choices in developing an agreement.
Fees
My fees are $ 275/ hour and I do not require a retainer fee as do most attorneys. The average mediation process does not exceed 10 hours as I believe in keeping the costs reasonable as well as providing an expeditious service to my clients.
Other Information
Please feel free to contact me to discuss other questions regarding the process of mediation itself and how mediation can reduce both stress and cost to all parties concerned.
Mediation will result in an agreement which is viable in the legal system and which reflects the wishes of the parties involved.
