Description of Practice
Licensed to practice law in both the States of Florida and New York. I am also a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Mediator. I will graduate in July, 2018 with a Master Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. I believe all divorce disputes can be resolved peacefully, and am committed to helping all couples - even the most "high-conflict" couples - reach a PEACEFULSPLIT™ At its core, all legal disputes and issues impact systemic relationships and that is why my training in marriage and family therapy makes me an ideal professional to help you and your spouse during this difficult, emotional and life-changing time in your lives. I do not litigate any divorce matters, and am fully committed and deviated to a peaceful divorce process via Mediation or Collaborative Divorce.
While living in New York, I was employed as an attorney by several litigation firms, before joining with a partner and opening our own firm in approximately 1996. In 2003, I left that partnership and opened my own practice and had offices in Manhattan, Queens and Long Island. As an attorney in New York, I concentrated on all aspects of civil litigation. I conducted and defended hundreds of depositions, engaged in trial and appellate work, and represented hundreds of clients. Between 2007-2008, I was an Arbitrator for the Civil Court of the City of New York, County of Queens. From 2009-2016, I, along with my wife, owned and operated a large private pre-school in West Palm Beach. During those seven years, we had the amazing opportunity and privilege to help educate and care for over 1500 children from ages 6 weeks through 12 years old. This experience taught me that life is not only about money, fame and fortune, but, at its core, getting up every day with the goal of helping people. I am the proud father of two children, one of whom is severely developmental disabled.
I have been using alternative dispute resolution for over 23 years to help my clients resolve a wide-variety of legal issues. From arbitration to mediation, I am a deep believer in peaceful alternatives to litigation.
In 1991, I graduated from the New York University’s Stern school of Business with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance. I then attended the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City, and graduated in 1994 with a Juris Doctor Degree. Currently, in order to better understand how the emotional aspects that many legal disputes and issues impact my clients, I am a Master’s Degree student at Nova Southeastern University studying Marriage and Family Therapy. Upon Graduation in July 2018, my goal is to combine both my law degree and my therapy degree to provide multiple assistance to clients and their families.
