Description of Practice

Collaborative Law is a method where you and your spouse have your individual lawyer by your side, but the goal is to avoid taking your disputes to trial. How does this benefit you. The primary benefit is you are in control of your timing and the outsome through settlement and a final enforceable Judgment. As a seasoned traditonal family lawyer, I have been in the courtroom many times, but know that you are able to reach a fair and equitable settlement while avoiding the cost of preparing and the stress and time appearing in court.

Professional Background

Member of the Oregon State Bar since 2001; OMBA, ABA Rising Star in 2011 mediation training in 2010. I've completed over 200 hours of continuing advanced mediation training. My focus as your mediator will be to provide you with a safe place to discuss the hard topics with a neutral professional.

Experience

Have assisted over 40 families a family mediator. Successful in resolving Active family attorney representing over 800 clients since 2001 with a strong history of promoting settlement and resolution of family disputes. Collaborative attorney in family law matters.

Approach

I see my role as a guide or coach to allow both parties to find a resolution to custody of children, support questions, property and other issues. It is important that this is in a safe and equitable manner where each party understands all of the facts surrounding their marital estate. You jointly have your futures ahead of you and resolving the past, with the help of a mediator, will close the door before you in a peaceful and productive manner.

Fees

My fees are charged hourly for our time in mediation sessions and also for investigation and preparing for our meetings If you choose me to finalize your agreement with the court, my fees for documents will be a flat fee based on the complexity of your agreement.

Other Information

I offer an initial one hour consultation to prove you and your spouse the informaton you need decide what is the best method to resolve your divorce. As each family is different not all methods are right for each family.
