Description of Practice
I'm a Professional Family Mediator, Attorney at Law, and the owner of Sacramento Divorce Solutions. I've been working almost exclusively in family law for over twenty years, and mediating since 1997. My practice focuses primarily on the Mediation of family disputes, but I also occasionally act as collaborative counsel in Collaborative Practice divorce cases; I no longer engage in litigation. I offer a free initial consultation to help clients understand the differences between Mediation, Collaborative Practice, unbundled services, and litigation process options. For more information, please visit us at www.SacramentoDivorceSolutions.com.
Mike Jonsson has been a licensed California attorney since 1993, a trained Mediator since 1997, a Collaborative Practitioner since 1999, and Special Master on Custody Issues (Parenting Coordinator) since 2002.
Mike Jonsson's practice has been limited to family law issues from its inception. In addition to extensive litigation experience (although he no longer represents clients in court), Mike has substantial experience as a settlement conference judge, a parent coordinator, a mediator, and collaborative practice legal counsel in complex custody, support, and property issues.

I take a practical and procedural approach towards family mediation. My approach is to assess and recognize each client's needs, balance their joint need to come to an agreement, adjust the process to maintain a level playing field, and thereby provide value for their mediation dollar. The ultimate goal: a fair and reasonable agreement that both clients can support, and which they can obtain in a reasonable amount of time.
As of 4/7/16, my hourly rate for mediation services is $350, and I require a $1,000 deposit to be maintained at all times.
